Your information, handled with care
Privacy Policy
This page explains what information I collect, why, who helps me store it, how long I keep it, and the choices you have.

Who I am
This site and its services are run by Vulnerable AF, LLC, doing business as Matchmaking by Veronica, a boutique matchmaking practice based in New York City. When this policy says “I,” “me” or “my,” it means Vulnerable AF, LLC, doing business as Matchmaking by Veronica. “You” means anyone who visits the site, fills out a form, books a service or emails me.
This policy covers the website, the free Dating Network, the Private Matchmaking waitlist and service, coaching, events and the newsletter. The rules for using those services are in my Terms and Conditions.
What I collect
I only collect what you choose to give me, plus a small amount of basic technical data. Here is the list:
- Dating Network profile. Name, email, phone, birthday or age, gender identity, sexuality, occupation, city and state, height, Instagram handle, who you are open to meeting, what you are looking for, your thoughts on children and relocation, ethnicity, religion, income range, 2 to 6 photos, and the written answers you share about yourself and your type. Several of these are optional.
- Short Dating Network sign up. Name, email, age, city, pronouns, what you are looking for, and anything else you want me to know.
- Private Matchmaking waitlist. Name, email, phone, age, city and state, who you want to meet, why you are interested, and your Instagram handle.
- Clients, coaching and events. If you book a paid service, I keep the details needed to deliver it, such as notes from our conversations, your preferences, scheduling details and payment records. Card payments are handled by the payment provider named at checkout. I never see or store your full card number.
- Newsletter. The name and email you enter when you subscribe.
- Email. Messages you send me and my replies.
- Technical data. Basic logs the hosting service keeps automatically, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, to keep the site running and secure.
Sensitive information and your consent
Some of what I ask about is sensitive: your sexuality and gender identity, religion, ethnicity, income range and photos. Some laws, including in New York and California, give this kind of information extra protection, and I treat it that way.
- It is your choice. Optional questions really are optional. You can skip them and still join.
- Sharing it means you consent. When you fill in these details, you give me your clear permission to store them and use them for one purpose: matchmaking for you and with you.
- It is never used for anything else. No advertising, no profiling for marketing, no selling, no sharing for anyone else’s purposes.
- You can change your mind. Email me to remove any of these details or withdraw your consent. I will delete them, and I will let you know if that affects what I can offer you.
Your photos
Here is how I handle your photos:
- I use them to get to know you and to think about who you might click with.
- I only show a photo to a potential match after you have said yes to that introduction.
- Your photos are never posted on the site, on social media, or in any marketing, unless you give me separate written permission first.
- When you upload photos, they pass through a private storage area while your submission is processed and are then kept in my private database. Neither is open to the public.
- Please only upload photos of yourself, and never photos of children.
- You can ask me to replace or delete your photos any time.
How I use your information
I use your information to:
- Get to know you and consider you for introductions
- Contact you about your submission, a possible match, or a service you booked
- Deliver matchmaking, coaching and events, and take payment for them
- Send the newsletter and event news, but only if you opted in
- Keep the site and my records secure, and follow the law
I do not use automated tools to make decisions about you. Every match decision is made by me.
Who sees your profile
Your profile is read by me personally. Introductions work on mutual, opt-in consent: if I think you and someone else could be a good fit, I reach out to you first, privately. I only share your first name, photos or other details with that person once you have agreed, and I hold them to the same standard of discretion.
I never publish a list of members or clients, and I never confirm to anyone whether a specific person is in my network.
Services that help me run things
A few trusted services store or process information on my behalf. They may only use it to do their job for me.
- Airtable holds my private database of profiles, waitlist entries and photos.
- Supabase stores uploaded photos in a private storage area while your submission is processed.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) runs newsletter sign ups and sends newsletter emails.
- Vercel hosts this website and keeps basic technical logs.
- Google (Gmail) is how I send and receive email.
- Payment and booking tools, when you buy a service. The provider is shown at checkout.
These companies are based in the United States and each has its own privacy policy. Beyond them, I only share information if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or with your permission.
Emails and the newsletter
If you submit a form, I may email or call you about that submission. Newsletters, event invitations and updates only go to people who opted in. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and tell me to stop.
How long I keep it
- While you are active. I keep your profile for as long as you are in the Dating Network, on the waitlist, or working with me.
- When you ask me to delete it. Once I have confirmed the request came from you, I delete your profile, photos and sensitive details within 30 days. Copies in my providers’ routine backups roll off on their normal schedule.
- If you go quiet. I may check in from time to time. If you tell me you are no longer interested, or I cannot reach you, I may remove your profile. If there has been no activity or contact on your profile for two years, I may remove it, and when possible I will email you first.
- What I keep longer. Payment and tax records, for as long as the law requires. A note of your email address if you asked me to stop contacting you, so I can keep honoring that. Anything else I truly need to resolve a dispute or protect someone’s safety.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask me to:
- See what I have about you, and get a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- Delete your profile, photos and other information
- Limit how I use your sensitive information, or withdraw your consent
- Stop marketing emails, or leave the Dating Network
Some state laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, also give you the right to know what categories of information I collect and share, and to opt out of any sale or sharing for targeted advertising. I do not sell or share information in that way, so there is nothing to opt out of, but I am happy to confirm it in writing. I will never treat you differently for using any of these rights.
How to ask: email veronica@matchmakingbyveronica.com. I may ask you to confirm a detail or two so I know the request really comes from you. I will reply within 30 days. If I ever say no to part of a request, I will tell you why, and you can ask me to look at it again.
Keeping it safe
I use reputable services with access controls and strong passwords, keep photos in private storage, and limit access to me and anyone I directly authorize to help run the business. No system is perfectly secure, so I cannot promise nothing will ever go wrong. If a breach ever affects your information, I will let you know as New York law requires.
Adults only
My services are for adults only. You must be at least 21 to submit a form or book anything. If I learn that someone under 21 has sent me information, I will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle your information, I will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, I will also tell people on my list by email.
